Junior Planner 

Our client in the Merchandise Retail industry, situated in Cape Town,  is looking for a performer with Retail Experience in a similar role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate and collate information and then apply sound business thinking to provide the category team with insights to plan and manage category effectively.
  • Assist with compiling merchandising stock plan
  • Forecasting sales by category and store allocations
  • Timely ordering of stock in line with forecast (purchase orders) 
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the manufacturing process, e.g. Lead times, costing etc and effectively manage shipping lead times
  • Track order from Supplier to Store
  • Analyse sales, promotions and manage the weekly and monthly sales forecast; monitor that they are in alignment with expected volumes and available stock

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Matric with Maths 
  • Good Excel skills - pivot tables; Vlookup
  • Must have worked in retail environment wiht at least 2 years in planning experience
  • Must have worekd with more that 1000 unique SKU's
  • Knowledgeable in forecasting
  • Own transport

Payroll and HR Administrator

The purpose of this role is to ensure that employees are paid accurately and timeously, personnel files are maintained and HR administration is completed.

 Critical Outputs

 Appointments and Terminations

  • Ensure that all new engagement documentation is complete
  • Capturing new appointments onto system
  • Process termination documentation
  • Processing terminations timeously
  • Calculating accurate leave pay figures where required in accordance with business leave rules
  • Drafting certificate of service for terminated employee

Payroll input

  • Capture salary changes onto the payroll
  • Process commission earnings every month
  • Preparation of the monthly salary analysis
  • Submission of provident fund claims to our service provider
  • Preparation of provident fund contribution schedule
  • Administer garnishees on Payroll
  • Assisting with preparation of annual salary review process

Query Resolution

  • Resolve employee salary and benefit queries
  • Provide a certificate of service to terminating employees
  • Provide confirmation of employment when required
  • Complete questionnaires on staff compliment requested by funders / customers

Personnel Files

  • Maintain employee physical and electronic files
  • Maintain staff personnel records and ensure that files are up-to-date
  • Open new files for starters & close files for terminations
  • Archive after financial year-end audit
  • Retrieve requested files for auditors
  • Legislative requirements
  • Manage the Workman’s compensation process
  • Ensure that UIF submissions are made
  • Conduct Tax Year end reconciliations
  • Ensuring mid-year SARS submissions are done
  • Administer the annual employee tax certificate process
  • Reconciliations
  • Preparation of third party payments
  • Submission of salary and salary related journals
  • Reconciling salary control general ledgers        

Manage leave

  • Manage leave on CRS system
  • Allow employees access to CRS system
  • Monitor and reconcile leave on a monthly basis
  • Report on leave on monthly basis
  • Employment Equity plan
  • Administer the employment equity plan
  • Skills Development plan
  • Administer the skills development plan
  • Liaise with SETA in terms of SETA requirements
  • Manage skills development levy and SETA payments
  • Manage bursary administration

Requirements

We are currently looking for a Systems Analyst Programmer for our client based in Braamfontein.  

  • Interpret, specify and provide solutions to Business and Information needs in respect of system development product functional and / or technical specifications based on determined user needs
  • use industry standard techniques and methodologies in acquiring client requirements
  • ensure all functional / technical / programme testing is carried out and a log of test results is maintained, in accordance with IS Software change management policy
  • obtain sign off from clients according to functional / technical specifications.
  • monitor, track and report on projects progress
  • liaise with various administrators to coordinate the tracking of incidents and change requests
  • manage own development and efficiency in the IS environment
  • provide 2nd line application support 

*In depth knowledge of systems programming and business processes 

Requirements:

  • Matric + completed Degree of Diploma is a minimum requirement 
  • MCSD or MCP is an advantage 
  • 5+ years experience in MS.Net C# (ASP.Net, MVC, WCF, Windows forms)
  • 2 + years experience in K2 (workflow & K2 Smartforms)
  • 2+ years experience in SharePoint Development (SharePoint 2007 or higher)
  • 2+ years in MS SQL 2008 or higher
  • Exposure to Front End Development tools i.e: Java Script, jQuery, Bootstrap
  • Exposure to Native Mobile Development (Android, iOS or Microsoft)
  • Exposure to Source Code or versioning control, preferably Team Foundation Server (TFS)
